My family got the great blessing of a week of vacation with Christie's family, the Johnsons, in a nifty little cabin in the mountains of Colorado.

click for largerTarryall- a sparsely populated vicinity on the edge of the Pike National Forest. We stayed in a private cabin overlooking a small lake and nestled in small mountains (8000-10000 ft) with a majestic snowcaps peaking in on our basin.

click for largerDespite rumors of high wildlife density, we unfortunately saw very little (a few mule deer, plenty of pronghorn out in the plains, lizards, and a few (2) elk as we left).

Yeah- it was great fun. No, the cabin was a rental.
