The Return of Sherlock Holmes G, E
by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Fiction
First of all, I got to read this entire book on Google Books (or the downloaded PDF), which is just sweet. Second, Sherlock Holmes is the man.
Holmes returns in this installment literally by popular demand. I read elsewhere that Doyle wrote his death because he wanted to write historical fiction and not be known for (then) crowd-pleasing, popular fiction. But because the publishers wouldn't take anything else, the deductive hero was resurrected.
As with most of Doyle's volumes, this is a collection of individual mysteries. Each one is indeed unique and quite well- designed to mystify and surprise the reader with its simplicity.
Yes, I want to be Sherlock Holmes.
