When pursuing wisdom, I often feel as if I am at a distance, at least two steps behind. Especially when circumstances and decisions weigh heavily. Thankfully, though, I am wrong to think that wisdom is elusive.
Prov 8: 17 I (wisdom) love those who love me, and those who seek me find me.
Contrarily, it is freely offered. It is easy to obtain, granted with the correct belief about our God.
1 Peter 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6 But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
It is indeed a comfort to know that I will not be in perpetual serch of the correct answer or decision, hopelessly panting trying to catch up with wisdom. Even as a still imperfect man, I can grasp the wisdom of God and employ it in my life.
1 Cor.1:30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. 31Therefore, as it is written: "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord."
