Isn't God good to have the Spirit work through us individually? Have you ever discovered something in Scripture that no one else (besides the Spirit, obviously) was teaching you and then felt the affirmation of God's truth when you hear it repeated over and again by other godly men and teachers?
For instance, I remember studying Romans 12:1-2 in Junior High and realizing the foundational nature of its commands. I believed it was a probably one of the best summaries of the Christian life I had ever read, even though no one was telling me that. Individual Soul Liberty in the flesh! And what affirmation to see what could only have been the Spirit illuminating Scripture being corroborated by virtually ever teacher and pastor I have had.
