Unveiling Islam L
by Ergun & Emir Caner
Non-fiction
For me and possible many others, this is a long overdue book. The value of understanding the beliefs of the world's 1.5 billion Muslims can not be overstated.
This information comes with a high level of authenticity- the authors grew up Sunni Muslims, were rejected by their father when saved, and became both pastors and professors. Their orthodox Christian worldview offers a guided response to the intricacies of Muslim doctrine.
Thankfully, this is more of a layman's handbook than a technical, scholarly work. While some deep topics are considered, it is for the most part a practical discussion. Everything from the Muslim calendar(s) to Muhammed's wives to dietary restrictions are presented.
If only for the testimony of these authors I recommend this book. The thought of Muslims coming to Christ is exciting and this book can equip Christians to participate in the process. I just gotta find me some Muslims!
