Nothing left to do but pray

That is not to say that that is the last resort. For in this case, it is one of the clear commands.

Our government and its leaders are receiving more attention than perhaps any time since the Civil War- some of it is good and some of it is bad. Most Christians and/or thinking men are aware of its faults, are aware of the corrupt and/or incompetent leaders, and have strong opinions and wishes regarding the way things should be.

Before the inevitable politicking, compromising, and everything else that will make it hard for us to respond to, I plan to go home and pray. I suggest praying through one of these solid prayers: 1, 2.
