A Short History of the Baptists M

This short history is 300+ pages, but it is one of the more interesting books I read for school this semester.
Though this author does not subscribe to a succesionist (Baptist churches can be traced back to the apostolic church) perspective of Baptist history, he does begin in the early church identifying Baptistic theology. The whole of A.D. history is spanned in this overview, up to the early 1900s when this book was published.
Vedder's writing is simply entertaining. I could read his history of anything.
