Weekend with the kids

This past weekend, my wife and I housesat/babysat for our Pastor's family. Their six kids kept us busy and entertained us quite well.

Going into the weekend, I recognized the gret resoponsibility Pastor and his wife were lending to us for two days. Because of that, I was greatly focused on doing a good job. It was, after my personal accountability to God and my relationship with my wife, the highest prioirty of my weekend. I did not care if I got any homework done or if I got to have time to myself or if I ahd to watch a movie for the second time in a week.

It really wasn't hard to do, because it was just two days. I wonder how easy it will be day in and day out (and I know the answer). That is not to say that taking care of our kid(s) day in and day out will not have its blessings and rewards, but I am seeing already that I will need the Lord's help greatly.
