That is why I did not watch the debate last night. I don't mean to be pessimistic, but its just not worthwhile to watch 90 minutes of fluff and lies. I don't have the time it takes to find the truth in all the mess. Thankfully, Factcheck.org helps with that. But that's assuming the stuff they spend time speaking truth or lies about actually matters in this election. Platitudes do not suffice.
This frustrates a frustrated populace. The economy has the nation in a stir and this election is in no way promising as a resolution. Despite the doom and gloom, I, we, can take solace in God's soverignty. It may sound cliche, but it is a bone-rattlingly simple truth. The United States of America is not guaranteed prosperity or even existence. But still, we are not any further from God's providence now than any other time in history. That God takes care of us and will accomplish His plan for us is not in danger because of simple man.
