Thoughts on Angelology

We have been studying angelology in Youth Group on Wednesday Nights. Intriguing.

Though there is not much said about the realm of the angelic, there is apparrently alot going on.
-We know that God created this order of beings higher than us. Ps. 8:5
-We don't know how many, but there are clearly more than I can imagine- "ten thousand times ten thousand" or "myraids" or innumerable". Rev. 5:11
-Some are awesomely good:Michael, Gabriel, seraphim, cherubim, living creatures. Jude 9, Rev, 12:7; Dan. 8-9, Luke 1; Is. 6; Gen, 3:24; Rev. 4
-Some are despicably bad: Satan-the fallen cherub, fallen angels/demons (same?), Apollyon, Demon-locust-horse-soldiers. Ez. 28, 1 Pet 5:8; Matt. 25:41, James 2:19 ; Rev. 9:11; Rev. 9:3

There is war going on all around us and we don't see it. From the revelation of Scripture, we're not intended to see it or fully understand it. But it is there. And the glimpse of it is awesome.
